You Can Tell A Person By Their Enemies

The New Testament says to be careful when all men speak well of you. Personally, I think it says a lot about a person's character when you see who their enemies are.

Well, our beloved President has a few gays that are against him. Read on...

GAYS AGAINST BUSH and I'm sure eventually there will be a group called Gays Against Stacy .... and ya know, that wouldn't be so awful.

So, you think that Gay people are your enemy? Whatever happened to love thy (Gay) neighbor?

In fact, I do need glasses, and I was wearing them as I wrote that. I guess I mistook your comments since you were writing a blog about knowing one's enemies, then brought up Gays Against bush as an example, (implying that Gays are Bush's enemies and vice-versa) then went on to mention the future organization Gays Against Stacy, and how that wouldn't be a bad thing. I was just using the context of the comments to come to the conclusion I made. Please clarify what you meant exactly, as I am unclear on what that is.

(ps-- I post as 'anonymous' because I don't have a blogger blog. My name is Danny.)

Nice to meet you Danny.

What part about Gays Hating Bush don't you get? They are the ones doing the hating, not me. I simply stated that it wouldn't surprise me if the gays decided to hate me too. Since after all the Gays Hate Bush and I hold similar values as Bush does.

Maybe the Gays that Hate Bush could learn to practice the love thy neighbor rule.

OK, now I understand what you meant.

I consider myself a conservative too, but I must say that Bush is further to the right on some issues than I. One of these issues is the way he wants to actually write discrimination into the constitution of the United States, which I find truly appalling. I cannot understand how he can spend so much energy on this hateful topic. To be honest, this topic seems to be more about love than hate to me. How can anyone criticize anyone else for loving someone, regardless of gender? I think that is beautiful, and I don't care what sex they are, because if they are adding love to this very hateful world, that is definitely a positive thing, and they should be allowed to so so without anyone else's approval, if you ask me. If they want to get married to prove their devotion to their partner, fine. Why shouldn't they enjoy the same legal benefits a straight couple enjoys? I can see no reason why not.

That's my 2 cents worth.

I forgot to mention that my point was, maybe if Bush had shown some love to this group of people, instead of trying to marginalize them and make them illegal, perhaps they would be returning the love and now be calling themselves Gays FOR Bush.

Great blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers?
I'm planning to start my own site soon but I'm a little lost on everything.

Would you propose starting with a free platform like Wordpress
or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I'm completely overwhelmed .. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!
